Ta -Dah!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!!! My nice sister-in-law was so kind and offered to watch the girls this past Sunday afternoon. The girls were so happy to be with their fun Aunt E. This gave me the opportunity to finish my project. Thanks Aunt E! So here is my fun new V-day table runner. I hand embroidered the writing and quilted the rest with the machine. The pattern was purchased from Pine Needles.

So glad it's finished.
It takes me longer with my table runner projects because I usually do two at a time. One for me and my mom. I think it's easier to stitch, cut fabric, and sew two of the same thing at the same time. I finished mine on Sunday and my mom's on Monday.

Alright... off to the next project. My sister's B-day is coming up in March and I bought a new pattern to try out as a gift. Happy sewing to everyone out there. Please check out Lila Tueller's blog. You won't regret it.

Lila Tueller

I love fabric and one of my favorite designers Lila Tueller is doing a give away. Wanna enter? Take a look at her blog, follow the directions for entering, and maybe you will win an awesome quilt. I love Lila's choice of colors and design. I have purchased a lot of Lila's fabric and I'm planning to make quilts with it for my girls. That will of course be later this year or next? Have fun feasting on some serious eye candy and check out her four lines of fabric that are listed on the right side of the blog. Her patterns look fun too!

Failed to finish

I thought by posting my deadline for my already belated project would encourage me to spend late nights to get it finished by this week. Well, it didn't work. I've been sick with a cold, the house was in desperate need of cleaning, and just when I thought I was going to be able to punch the project out the refrigerator died. Hence, no pics and no finished project. So I may be gone for awhile from my short spurt of blogging but hopefully you will hear back from me soon. I hope all is going well with all of you. Take care.

For the ladybugs of my life

Two black t-shirts from Wal-mart: $3.50 each

2 1/2 yards of fabric from Hobby Lobby: $12.00

Ribbon from Hobby Lobby: $2.00

Two happy girls: PricelessOkay, so you totally knew that was coming up. I decided this week to make a V-day outfit for my girls to wear to church. Because of this unplanned project I put off my other Valentine's project which hopefully I will post later this week.

NEXT-Some cupcake fun. My mom found these cupcake candles and cupcake cookie jar at Kohls. I absolutely love them!

The cupcake cookie jar.

A little cupcake love.
Thanks for reading. Remember to check my blog towards the end of the week. I am hoping to post a now belated Valentine's Day sewing project.
